NYU General Purpose Classrooms

New York, NY

Renovation to NYU's iconic 1972 Philip Johnson main library on Washington Square. The program included the addition of 13 general purpose classrooms to the below-grade Lower Level 1. Alspector Architecture enhanced their 2005 Phase I Renovations to include a graduate student carrel room; graduate student collaborative group study rooms; technology support offices; expanded toilet rooms; and modulated corridor spaces to accomodate the inreased flow of students and provide spaces for informal interaction and learning.
