Renovation to NYU's iconic 1972 Philip Johnson main library on Washington Square. The program included the addition of 13 general purpose classrooms to the below-grade Lower Level 1. Alspector Architecture enhanced their 2005 Phase I Renovations to include a graduate student carrel room; graduate student collaborative group study rooms; technology support offices; expanded toilet rooms; and modulated corridor spaces to accomodate the inreased flow of students and provide spaces for informal interaction and learning. |
